Because church doesn’t just happen on Sundays…

We believe a small community is the best environment to connect and experience the kind of life Jesus has called us to, a life of both belonging and purpose. Home groups provide relational connections that are hard to build in large Sunday gatherings. They provide believers the ability to function fruitfully in discipleship and mission the way the early Church did. As people experience living their lives on mission, new needs are discovered and new groups form.

What defines a home group?

• Home groups are a group of people, about the size of an extended family, who are united through Christian community around a common service and witness to a particular neighborhood or network of relationships.

• A home group is like a family! They eat together, study God’s Word, celebrate and worship together, do service projects together, disciple one another, and pray for and support each other.

• Home groups live intentionally: They focus UP to connect with the Father, work together to grow IN the body of Christ, and reach OUT into our broken world, joining Jesus wherever He is already at work.

• Home groups are intended to be low-maintenance, simple, flexible and reproducible.

• Home groups operate independent of Sunday gatherings and church-wide activities, but their leaders are volunteers accountable to the BCC leadership.
